The University of Montana men's basketball team played a close game versus Texas Southern University but came out victorious on Nov. 25, 2019 in Dahlberg Arena with a 74-62 final score. This is the second out of two times UM has beat Texas Southern.

The Griz broke out of their recent slump with an 11-point run in the second half, following a first half in which the Griz and the TSU Tigers were often not more than 7 points apart.

Top scorers of the night included senior Sayeed Pridgett, who led UM with 19 points, redshirt senior Kendal Manuel with 15 points, junior Timmy Falls with 11 points and freshman Josh Vazquez scoring 10 points.

Freshmen took the lead in the first half, with forwards Kyle Owens and Derrick Carter-Hollinger scoring the first 10 points for the Griz. Carter-Hollinger was also in the top five point-scorers for the game overall, with 10 points.

The Griz play again on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 versus Coppin State at home.
