In an aggressive game, the University of Montana Grizzlies defeated the Eastern Washington University Eagles, 92-82, at Dahlberg Arena on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020. Both teams brought the pressure, each fouling more than 10 times during the game.
Within the first 15 seconds of the game, Montana scored a 3-pointer. Eastern Washington responded with constant scoring for the duration of the first half. After a neck-and-neck battle, the teams went into the locker room with Eastern Washington leading by one point, 45-44 at halftime.
In the game's final half, Montana scored an additional 48 points and Eastern Washington scored 37 points. With a minute remaining in the game, Montana led Eastern Washington by four points, 84-80. Within the final 60 seconds, the Grizzlies scored an extra eight points and the Eagles scored an additional two.
University of Montana players Kendal Manuel and Sayeed Pridgett led the Grizzlies in scoring. Manuel scored 18 points and Pridgett scored 24 points.
Montana will face the University of Idaho for the second time this season Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 in Moscow, Idaho.
