The University of Montana men's basketball team prevailed over Montana State University-Northern on Sunday afternoon, with a final score of 64-50. Guard Sayeed Pridgett led the team with a 30-point career high, bringing the Griz back after a tough first half against the MSU-Northern Lights at Dahlberg Arena.
The Lights led the game by 2 points at the half and the Griz finally pulled ahead with 13 minutes of gameplay to go. A jump shot from Pridgett brought the Griz up to 44 points versus MSU-Northern’s 42 points.
Freshman forward Kyle Owens scored 11 points for UM during the game — the only other player to score in double-digits — with Kendal Manuel close behind, scoring 8 points.
Sophomore Mack Anderson closed out the second half with a crowd-pleasing slam dunk, overall leading the Griz rebound count with six during the game.
The University of Montana will play the University of Arkansas Razorbacks next in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Nov. 16, 2019.
